A massive flash flood triggered by a cloudburst washed a bridge away in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district.

It has been reported that the cloudburst happened in Chal village of Dharchula town in the district.

Video shows locals making way against the strong flow of water after the bridge was washed away.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in parts of the country during the next five days.

Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Gujarat regions for the next five days, it said.
