G-20 Summit: Delhi Police Issues A Notice Regarding No-Fly-Zone Over The NCT Of Delhi

The Delhi Police has issued a notice regarding No-Fly Zone- prohibiting certain flying objects in the NCT of Delhi, in view of the much anticipated G-20 summit. The directive will be in effect  for a period of 15 days, from August 29 till September 12, 2023. 

Flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVS, UASS, microlight aircrafts, remotely piloted aircrafts, hot air balloons, small sized powered aircrafts, quadcopters or para jumping from aircraft etc. over the jurisdiction of the NCT of Delhi is declared prohibited. 

The move aims to thwart criminal, anti-social elements or terrorists inimical to India - a potential threat to the safety of the general public, dignitaries, or vital installations used by them, in view of the G-20 Summit. Violations of the order shall be punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
