Photo by photo, the following collage of 2012 does not frame world events but points up their significance amidst a maelstrom of images. These are of events that inspired or incited, of ‘wronged’ people who evoked passion, of ‘heroes’ who were admired, and regimes that defied the will of their people. From post-revolution Egypt to our own heaving streets, here lie unfairness, anguish, a few triumphs.
