Hanas, the Gaza Strip-based armed outfit on Friday confirmed death of at least 13 Israeli and foreign hostages in Israeli air strikes in the past 24 hours. The hostages were held in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli officials, Hamas has taken over 150 people hostage, including both civilians and security forces.

As per the statement of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, "Thirteen prisoners... including foreigners" were killed in five locations targeted by Israeli fighter jets.

According to the Hamas media office in Gaza, at least 500 children are among the dead.
