After much anticipation, the trailer of Kiran Rao’s second directorial project is out. Titled ‘Laapataa Ladies’, the trailer has given the audience a glimpse of the interesting story. Ever since the trailer was released, it has become the talk of the town.

The 2:25 minute-long trailer of ‘Laapataa Ladies’ opens with the shot of a man who arrives home with his newlywed wife. The wife is asked is asked to take off her veil. When she takes it off, it is revealed that the woman is not the one whom the man had married. As the trailer progresses, we see that the movie is set in rural India. The women were swapped on a train. The man goes to the police station to file a complaint. The plot revolves around this entertaining investigation.

The movie has a very interesting plot and has put it under the genre of comedy. Throughout the trailer, the jokes aren’t really on your face. They are subtle and that’s what helps drive the point. The cast of the film looks promising. From the looks of the trailer, it looks like they have delivered their best. Ravi Kishan has nailed his role as a cop. But it’s too soon to say if his performance will be stereotypical or if he can maneuver this gap effectively.

Directed by Kiran Rao, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam in lead roles. The film has been produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Jyoti Deshpande. It is set to release in cinemas on March 1, 2024.
