Apple TV+'s hit thriller series Severance is renewed for Season 3. Apple CEO Tim Cook, on Friday, March 21, took to his X handle to confirm Severance's renewal for a third season. Severance released on February 18, 2022, while the second season premiered on January 17, 2025.
Cook, confirmed Severance 3, in a social media exchange with the show’s director and executive producer, Ben Stiller.
However, the release date is yet to be announced.

Severance, written and created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller, follows the lives of Lumon Industries employees who undergo a process that blocks their memories of the outside world once they enter Lumon and blocks their memories of Lumon once they go outside the company.
The show has received rave reviews since its debut and praised for its original storytelling, direction, performances, and philosophical depth. It is Apple TV+’s most-watched show of all time, as per Deadline.
Though the plot of Season 3 is still under wraps, it is expected to go deeper into the secrets of Lumon.
Erickson has served as the executive producer of Severance alongside Ben Stiller, Scott, Arquette, Jackie Cohn, Beau Willamon, John Lesher, Mark Friedman, Jordan Tappis, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz, and Sam Donovan.
