Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda is foraying into the movies with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. The grand premiere of the film was held in Mumbai on Tuesday, and the entire Bachchan and Nanda clan gathered together to support Agastya.
Present at the event were Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Navya Naveli Nanda and other members of the Bachchan-Nanda family. In fact, they all posed together as a family for Agastya’s special day. Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya also got clicked with Agastya separately as they wished him well.
Surprisingly, Jaya Bachchan got a little upset with the shutterbugs present there as they asked her to pose. “Don’t shout,” she said as she entered the event with her family.
Alongside Agastya, ‘The Archies’ also marks the debut of Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor. While Shah Rukh and the entire Khan family joined in to support Suhana, Janhvi Kapoor marked her attendance to support sister Khushi.
Earlier in the day, Agastya’s mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda shared a photo on Instagram wishing him good luck.
The heartfelt coming-of-age tale set in the backdrop of the 1960s, ‘The Archies’ draws viewers into the lives of a group of teenagers, and is a collaborative effort between Netflix India, Tiger Baby, Archie Comics, and Graphic India.
Helmed by Zoya, the film will be released on Netflix on December 7.
