Round four kicks off in reverse order, and the pressure is intense, the bottom two face elimination. Arshad Nadeem steps up but can’t deliver, fouling his throw. That’s it for him, Nadeem is out of the final. Heartbreak for the Olympic champion.

We’ve reached the halfway mark of the competition, and the field has already seen some surprises. Jakub Vadlejch and Cameron McEntyre are both knocked out, their campaigns ending sooner than expected as the battle for the medals heats up.

The second round lights up as Julian Weber sharpens up with an 86.11m effort to grab third, only for Anderson Peters to thunder past everyone with a massive 87.38m that puts him firmly in the lead. Arshad Nadeem can’t match that, fouling his second attempt, and the pressure trickles across the field.

Oh, hello! Sachin Yadav has just uncorked a monster, 86.27m, a brand-new personal best. The youngster lets out a roar, the tricolour flags start waving, and suddenly the whole dynamic has flipped.
