Germany’s Julian Weber sealed the Diamond League Finals title in men’s javelin throw with a personal best record of 91.51m. The German recorded two 90m-plus throws in his first two attempts, recording 91.37m and 91.51m. Neeraj Chopra was third for most of the contest, trailing Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott’s 84.95m effort. However, the Indian athlete recorded a decent 85.01m effort in his final throw, finishing in second place. A really poor effort from Neeraj, all things considered, as he manages just 82m from his second effort. The gap at the top has widened early on.

The third attempt is underway, and Wieland fails to improve upon his first attempt again, throwing 77.04m. Mardare throws 77.11m, and Yego follows it up with a 82.01m. Walcott reaches 81.78m with his third throw. Anderson's effort is disappointing as well, reaching 77.93m.

Weber, after back-to-back 90m+ throws, has a fault throw in his third attempt. Is this a lifeline for Neeraj Chopra?

Not really, as Neeraj, too, has a foul throw. The German's lead remains.

Wieland begings the fourth round with a poor 71.06m throw. A number of sub-80 throws as Mardare reaches 75.94m, Yego only makes it to 79.32m, and Peters manages 79.20m.

The biggest news is that Neeraj has back-to-back foul throws! Is it all over for the Indian star in tonight's clash?

Walcott has a foul throw as well. Julian Weber wraps it up with a 83.66m attempt. Not a great showing from any of the seven athletes in the fourth round.

Neeraj is clearly not having the best of nights, and the Indian star has a third successive foul throw.

Julian Weber has an improved throw, reaching 86.45m with his penultimate effort. It all goes down to the last throw now.

Wieland surprises everyone with his best throw of the night, breaking the 80m mark with a 81.29m effort. Good finish from the Swiss wildcard. Mardare records a 77.28m throw, and Yego has his second foul throw of the night. Peters can't better his first attempt, finishing it with a 78.77m throw.

Neeraj Chopra has his best throw of the night in his final attempt, but can only manage 85.01m. A very good effort from him, taking him up to second place, but not even close to Julian Weber's performance.

Walcott manages 78.30m. Weber wraps it up with a 88.66m effort, and he finishes first, by some distance.
