Maldives Row: MS Dhoni's Video Of Wanting To Explore India First Goes Viral - Watch

A video featuring MS Dhoni talking about exploring India before going abroad for vacation has gone viral amid the Maldives row.

Amid the Maldives row raking in the headlines, many esteemed cricketers from past and present such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina among others have taken to social media to voice their opinion against the 'racist' remarks made by the Maldives politicians against India. The cricketers have urged the nation to explore India more than go outside for tourist destinations. (More Sports News)

The controversy arose after derogatory and 'anti-India' comments were made by Maldives' political leaders and public figures after PM Modi's visit to Lakshadweep.

Amidst all the hullabaloo, an old video of former India captain MS Dhoni has taken social media by storm.

In the video, Dhoni spoke about travelling to the beautiful places of India.

"Mostly, I do travel a lot but not for vacations. Frankly, if you ask me, I have not been on a lot of vacations. During my cricket playing time, mostly I would go to nations where cricket was there. I haven't seen a lot because I was like I have come here to play cricket, I will play cricket and come back. So, not a lot of fun that way," Dhoni said in the video.

"My wife loves to travel. So, now our plan is... we are getting some time off, we want to travel. But we want to start from India. We have so many beautiful places over here. I would like to explore them first before heading to different places," he said.
