The referee gets us underway at the Dragao. Porto immediately look to press high and chase early goals, while Nice sit deeper, preparing to hit on the counter. The tempo is lively from the start.
A lightning move down the right as Pepe bursts forward and cuts it back. Varela smartly lets it run, and Gabriel Veiga drives a low shot into the corner with no chance for the keeper. Porto strike early.
Huge chance for Nice! Moffi breaks past Kwior and goes one-on-one with the keeper but fires over the bar. A big let-off for Porto.
Victor Froholdt slides a clever pass into Gabriel Veiga, who bursts into the box and blasts a rising strike past the keeper for his second of the night. Clinical finish and Porto extend their lead!
Porto are firmly in control now, keeping the ball well and finding space with ease as they push for another goal. Nice are pinned back, struggling to defend and offering little going forward.
Porto take a comfortable lead into the break after two clinical strikes from Gabriel Veiga. They’ve controlled the tempo throughout, while Nice have struggled to create anything meaningful. The hosts firmly on top.
The whistle goes and we’re back in action at the Dragao. Porto make a change as Varela makes way for Bednarek to strengthen the back line, while Nice stick with the same XI.
Samu Aghehowa steps up to the spot and calmly sends Diouf the wrong way, ending his goal drought and putting Porto 3–0 up. A confident penalty and full control for the hosts.
Big chance for Nice! Jansson breaks down the right and squares it low to Kevin Carlos, completely unmarked, but he leans back and sends his shot over the bar. A wasted opportunity.
Porto calmly see out the match, keeping possession and pushing forward only when the space opens. Nice continue searching for a consolation goal but can’t break through the Portuguese defence.
The final whistle sounds at the Dragao, and Porto claim a fully deserved victory after dominating throughout. The result lifts them to fifth in the Europa League standings, while Nice slump to a fifth straight defeat. A commanding performance from the hosts.
