France mounted a dramatic second-half comeback as Kylian Mbappé netted twice (48', 66') and Bradley Barcola added another (54'). Though England’s lead was cut to one, Saka completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot (86') to restore breathing room. Ousmane Dembélé clawed one back for France in stoppage time (90+6'), but Jude Bellingham sealed the 6-4 victory with a brilliant solo run and finish (90+8'). The match saw historic milestones: Mbappé became the World Cup's all-time leading scorer (22 goals), while Bellingham became the first Englishman to score seven goals in a single tournament edition.
