The match will kick off at 1:30am IST. The Flamengo vs Bayern Munich, FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 match will be live streamed for free on the DAZN platform in India. It will not be telecast on any TV channel in the country.
Here is how Flamengo line up for their round of 16 face-off against the Bundesliga titans:
As expected, Harry Kane starts for Bayern Munich, and so do Coman and Olise. Here is the Bavarians' line-up for the knockout encounter:
The prior FIFA Club World Cup game of the evening saw Paris Saint-Germain thrashing Inter Miami 4-0 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Four goals in the first half meant that the Herons could never find a way back in the round of 16 clash, and Lionel Messi's men were knocked out much embarrassed.
The two teams have walked out to the pitch and the customary pre-match rituals, including the handshakes, are out of the way. Match kicking off in seconds.
We are off in Florida. Bayern Munich attacking from right to left and Flamengo from left to right in the first half. Bayern earn a corner in the second minute but Agustin Rossi punches the cross away to safety.
Bayern take the lead in the sixth minute courtesy an own goal. Erick Pulgar heads a corner kick into his own net inadvertently, and it's a muted celebration from the Bavarians.
Harry Kane with a corker of a finish to double Bayern's advantage! Dayot Upamecano passes it on to the star England striker and he takes a touch before slamming it into the Flamengo goal in the ninth minute.
Flamengo bounce back in the 33rd minute! It's their captain Gerson who latches on to Giorgian de Arrascaeta's assist and strikes powerfully with his left foot to cut the deficit down to one goal.
Bayern strike right back! What an entertaining first half this is turning out to be. Eight minutes after Flamengo pulled one back, Leon Goretzka restores the Bavarians' two-goal cushion with a sublime right-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner.
Soon after the goal, we have a rough challenge and a scuffle. Erick Pulgar fouls Harry Kane badly in the 43rd minute and is booked for it, but himself gets injured in the process and has to be stretchered off. Jonathan Tah and Gonzalo Plata are also shown yellow cards for their subsequent altercation. Meanwhile, eight minutes are added in the first half for all the stoppages.
The first half comes to an end with Bayern Munich retaining their 3-1 lead against Flamengo. The Bavarians have come out hard against the Brazilian league leaders and are the favourites to win this from here.
The second half begins. Bayern now shooting from left to right and Flamengo from right to left. One reckons that the Brazilian club needs an early goal if it is mount a challenge against this strong Munich side.
An Olise handball in the Bayern box gives a penalty to Flamengo in the 53rd minute. Jorginho steps up to take it, and sends the experienced Manuel Neuer the wrong with a deceptively directed spot kick. The Brazilian side finds the early goal it needed. Game on!
Harry Kane at the double! The leading scorer for England and Bayern Munich adds another to his tally, and a crucial one at that. The striker is on the prowl as always, and picks up Joshua Kimmich's ball before drilling it home in the bottom corner. The Bavarians again have a two-goal cushion with less than 14 minutes to go.
Time running out for Flamengo even as Bayern continue to press forward. Remember that the Brazilian club needs to score at least twice, as a draw in full time would lead to extra time and then penalties if need be.
The 90 minutes are done and seven minutes have been added as injury time. Meanwhile, Konrad Laimer is booked for a foul on Bruno Henrique and Sacha Boey comes in for the talismanic Harry Kane.
And there comes the full-time whistle at the Hard Rock Stadium. Bayern Munich cruise to a 4-2 win against Flamengo, knocking out the Brazilian club and also setting up their own quarter-final clash against the formidable Paris Saint-Germain.
