Former Arsenal and Villarreal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two additional counts of rape linked to a woman who came forward in August 2025, adding to previous charges from 2021–22 when he played for Arsenal. Partey, 32, pleaded not guilty to all earlier charges at Southwark Crown Court, with his trial set for 2 November 2026.
He was granted bail under existing conditions, including no contact with alleged victims and notifying police of travel or address changes. Partey continues to play for Villarreal and Ghana, most recently featuring in a World Cup qualifier against Comoros.

Arsenal come close! Noni Madueke gets on the end of Leandro Trossard’s corner and fires a right-footed shot from the center of the box, but it drifts wide to the left. Brentford breathe a sigh of relief as the Bees can’t find the opener.
Goal for Arsenal! Noni Madueke rises perfectly in the box and heads Piero Hincapié’s cross into the bottom left corner. Gunners finally break the deadlock, 1-0.
Brentford respond immediately! Keane Lewis-Potter rises close to goal and heads Sepp van den Berg’s clever pass into the top center. Bees back on level terms, 1-1.
Brentford win a free kick in their own half. Mathias Jensen draws the foul, giving the Bees a moment to regroup and slow down Arsenal’s pressure.
Arsenal make a change. Gabriel Martinelli comes on for Leandro Trossard, hoping fresh legs can help the Gunners push for a second.
