We are underway for this all important Group C clash between two in-form teams Bengaluru FC and Punjab FC at the JLN stadium in Fatorda. BFC (in blue) will start from left to right and PFC (in white) will start from right to left in this first-half.

Both the teams are looking hungry for the win in this virtual quarter-final match. The intensity has been kept high on both ends and we have already seen 3 shots taken at goal in the first 5 minutes. It is going to be an all time classic!

Punjab's number 10 Daniel Ramirez created a good opportunity there from the left flank. He darted a left-footed cross inside the box but could not find Effiong as the ball was cleared away by Chinglensana Singh. End-to-end action so far.  

Great start from Punjab, who have looked like the better side among the two here. They have done really well to keep Bengaluru quiet in the first quarter and have also sprung up a few chances to test Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

The first yellow card of the match has been shown to Nikhil Poojary for his aggressive lunge on Bengaluru number 10 Brian Sanchez, who released a bicycle kick off a rebound pass from the free-kick for that foul by Poojary. 10/10 for Sanchez's effort, but it wasn't enough to test the keeper.

Half an hour goes by in this game as both teams continue to break the deadlock in this virtual quarter-final match at Fatorda. Punjab head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis has brought out his tactic board

A couple of yellow cards have been shown to players from both teams and that speaks a lot about the intensity of this game. 15 fouls already but the deadlock not broken yet as Bengaluru FC win a corner but Sana Singh's header went over the bar.

Effiong placed a flicking pass inside the box to Leon Augustine, who had almost scored there for Punjab but the ball grazes past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu's fingers. It was another good move by the North Indian outfit.

High intensity. Lots of fouls. Couple of yellow cards. Number of missed chances. Great midfield dominance by Punjab - that has been the story of the 1st half. Bengaluru have been kept quiet by the Shers, who were the better side in the first 45 minutes in Fatorda. When they return for the second-half, PFC will hope to get the job done with BFC having a lot to do. It will be interesting to see if head coach Gerard Zaragoza brings on the talismanic Sunil Chhetri in the upcoming 45 minutes.

Gokulam Kerala will finish 3rd in Group C as they have beaten Mohammedan SC 2-0 in both teams' last match.

The 2nd half begins at the JLN stadium in Fatorda as both teams will search for the opening goal of this match. One thing is certain from the first-half's play is that it will not be a high-scoring affair. Either sides could win 1-0 or 2-0 in regulation time unless we head into extra-time or penalties.

Punjab FC have already created 2 scoring opportunities since the start of the second-half, but none of them materialized. Bengaluru will be making a few changes sooner or later and Sunil Chhetri has been subbed-in for Kelvin.

Golden chance for Punjab FC goes begging as Effiong's header from a pacey corner goes far off the left post. The PFC number 9 also had a head clash with Bengaluru defender Naorem Roshan Singh, who is being given medical attention.

Sunil Chhetri squanders an easy chance to open the scoring in this fiercely contested match. Aashique Kuruniyan sent in an outstanding cross to Chhetri, who just had to tap it inside but he ended up smashing it wide.

Bengaluru FC have been creating chances to score but nothing has gone inside the net. Since the arrival of Sunil Chhetri, BFC are looking refreshed and attacking better than they were in the 1st half. Less than 15 minutes remain before we head into extra time.

3 minutes have been added to the clock as Bengaluru FC win a free kick from the edge of the box. Rahul Bheke made decent contact with the ball but his header was off target and went away.

Both the teams could not be separated in the entire 90 minutes and we are heading into penalties at the JLN stadium in Fatorda. It will be a best of 5 to start with.

Bengaluru's 1st shot went on goal with Effiong equalling in Punjab's first attempt. Rahul Bheke scored the second for BFC and Princeton, too, smashed it past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to make it 2-2.

Poor penalty taken by Ryan Williams, who paused before releasing the shot which was blocked by the Punjab keeper. Samir Zeljkovic puts PFC ahead by 3-2 before Sunil Chhetri buried it into the corner to get things on level terms again.

Former Bengaluru player Leon Augustine scores and makes it 4-3. Brian Sanchez makes it 4-4 and Punjab just needs to convert their last attempt, which they do and secure a spot in the semi-finals.

Punjab FC will go head-to-head with East Bengal FC in one of the semi-finals. FC Goa, who are taking on Al Nassr tonight in the AFC Champions League Two, will be facing either of Kerala Blasters/Rajasthan United/Mumbai City.
