Australia's premier fast bowler Mitchell Starc achieved a monumental feat on Saturday, when he became the second bowler from his country to feature in 100 Tests during the third Test between West Indies and Australia at Sabina Park, Kingston.

Starc is second behind to Glenn McGrath, who played in 124 Tests in his career. The pacer is the 16th Australian overall to feature in at least 100 Test matches.

The 35-year-old New South Wales bowler also became the 11th overall fast bowler to feature in 100 Tests that includes the likes of James Anderson, Wasim Akram, Courtney Walsh amongst others. Englishman Anderson leads the line with 188 Tests to his name.

He even managed to clinch a wicket in his 100th Test as the West Indies reached 16/1 in reply to Australia’s first innings total of 225 on Day 1 of the day-night 3rd Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica on Saturday, July 12.

Starc remove debutant Kevlon Anderson to take his overall tally of Test wickets to 396.

Starc was congratulated on X by Chairman - International Cricket Council (ICC), Mr. Jay Shah. "Congratulations to Australia’s Mitchell Starc for playing 100 Tests, a huge achievement for any cricketer but even more so for a fast bowler. Test debut came way back in 2011, and he’s still at the top of his game," he wrote.
