Goa have taken the charge on Uttar Pradesh in match number 1 of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. The Goans have scored runs at a rate of 8.7 and have scored 132/5 in 15.1 overs. Arjun Tendulkar scored 28 off 22 from the opening position and Abhinav Tejrana smashed 70 off 32.
Services opener Gaurav Kochar smashed 60 off 37, skipper Mohit Ahlawat had a score of 19 off 11 at a strike rate of over 170. With 4 overs to go and the score at 133/5, Arun Kumar is at the crease, scoring 28 off 20 already as he eyes a strong finish with Nakul Sharma.
It has been a tough start for Chhattisgarh, who have been able to score just 115 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Opener Aush Pandey departed for 31 off 25, Shashank Chandrakar scored just 16 while Punjab Kings fame Shashank Singh left the crease after smashing 34 off 22. Praateek Yadav and Ajay Mondal are currently out there with 5 overs to go.

Tremendous batting effort from Uttarakhand, who have smashed 197 at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. After a terrible outing from the top 3 batters - who just shared 21 runs between them, the middle-order took control of the things and scored most of the runs. Aanjanyea Suryavanshi (54 off 36), Shaswat Dangwal (27 off 13) and skipper Kunal Chandela remained the highest scorer at 88 off 49.
Plenty of lessons to learn for Chhattisgarh, who have been bundled out for just 133 runs. Ayush Pandey's 31, Shashank Singh's 34 and Chandrakar-Prateek's 16 and 19 helped CHA reach 133. The lower middle-order batters collapsed dramatically as the last 6 batters shared just 20 runs between them.
Terrific effort from the Mizoram team towards the backend of the 1st innings. After Jehu Anderson's 41 off 23 and Sahil Sharma's 36 off 27, skipper Joesph Lalthankhuma scored 33 off 18 and KC Cariappa smashed 48 off 23 from number 6.

The match is at a crucial juncture as UP require 24 off 35 with 8 wickets in hand. Aryan Juyal left after smashing 79 off 45 with Karn Sharma getting out for a 2-ball duck. Priyam Garg 28* and Sameer Rizvi 38* are currently at the crease.
Uttar Pradesh have defeated Goa in convincing fashion by 8 wickets with 10 balls to spare. Aryan Juyal's sensational 93* off 57 and Sameer Rizvi's 38 off 26 paved the way for UP to register a great win over Goa, who were extremely poor with their execution with the ball.
Urvil Patel's unbelievable 119* off just 37 and Aarya Desai's 60 off 35 helped Gujarat chase down a tricky target of 183 with ease, within 12.3 overs. Interestingly, ever single bowler in the Services line-up conceded more than 10 run an over. Jayant Goyat leaked 43 off his only 2 overs in the match.
Nagaland failed to chase down a total of 199 as they were restricted for just 182/9, thanks to the calm performance from the Mizoram bowling attack at the backend of the innings.
Karnataka have beaten Uttarakhand in a thrilling contest which went till the last ball. The South Indians were chasing a target of 198 and after a dismal performance from the top-order, the middle-order took control.
Smaran Ravichandran smacked 67 off 41 with Praveen Dubey (38 off 24) and Shubhang Hegde (29 off 18) guiding Karnataka towards the win in the final ball.
Chhattisgarh have shellshocked Vidarbha in a low-scoring thriller at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground. CHA had posted just 133 runs on the board, but in response, Vidarbha were folded for just 106 runs, handing an easy 27-run victory to their opponents.

Elsewhere, there were victories for Chhattisgarh, UP and Gujarat.
Tamil Nadu have posted 169/8 in 20 overs against Rajasthan. Sonu Yadav's late exploits helped them to a decent total.
Shardul Thakur's Mumbai have beaten Railways at the Ekana Cricket Stadium Ground B by 7 wickets. RLWY had posted 158 on the board in the 1st innings, through the late flurries fro Mohammad Saif (48 off 37) and Ashutosh Sharma (61 off 30).
In response, Mumbai chased the total within 15.5 overs. Ajinkya Rahane and Suryakumar Yadav starred with their 62 and 47 respectively.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Maharashtra team endured an upset, losing to a relatively weaker Jammu and Kashmir team by 5 wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. MAH scored just 130 runs in the 1st innings with J&K chasing the total down within 18.4 overs despite a top-order collapse.
Chetan Sakariya starred as Saurashtra defeated Tripura by 4 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Batting first, Tripura were restricted to just 123, thanks to Hanuma Vihari's 31 off 34 and Manisankar Murasingh's 56 off 32.
In response, after a good start, Saurashtra lost 6 wickets within 13.5 overs at a score of 93. It took Chirag Jani and Ruchit Ahir some blistering knocks to snatch the victory from Tripura's reach.
Meghalaya well and truly produced one of the best batting displays of the tournament on the opening day as openers Kishan Lyngdoh and Arpit Bhatewara stitched an opening partnership of 157 runs. Bhatewara departed for 63 off 41 while Lyngdoh, the eventual man of the match, got hit wicket for 115 off 67.
Their knocks helped Meghalaya post 190 on the board. In response, Sikkim fell short of just 11 runs after a decent effort by their batters.
Abhishek Sharma's Punjab have beaten Himachal Pradesh in what was an one-sided affair at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium. PUN chose to bowl first and their bowlers did extremely well to keep Himachal quiet, restricting them to just 147. Punjab, after losing Abhishek for just 4 runs, got to the total within 13.5 overs, thanks to Anmolpreet Singh's 43, Salil Arora's 36, Sanvir Singh's 23, Ramandeep Singh's 22* and Nehal Wadhera's 10*.
Hyderabad got off to a winning start as well with a nervy win over Madhya Pradesh, who could not defend a total of 145. MP had a terrible outing with the bat with number 8 batter Shivang Kumar scoring the most (45) runs.
In response, Hyderabad had a crumbling started, but thanks to Rahul Buddhi's 59 off 46 and Mohammad Arfaz's 18, they were able reach to the total within 18.1 overs.
Manipur registered a one-sided victory over Arunachal Pradesh at the Deccan Gymkhana Ground. Manipur batter Priyojit Singh starred with his sensational 101* off 48, Langlonyamba Keishangbam score 56* off 40 as Manipur posted 207 on the board.
In the 2nd innings, Manipur bowlers ran riot against Arunachal Pradesh, who were folded for just 117 runs with skipper Neelam Obi (36 off 33) turning out to be their best batter.
Kerala shellshocked Odisha by handing them a heavy 10-wicket defeat at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground. Odisha had posted 176 through knocks from Biplab Samantray and Sambit Kumar's 53 and 40 respectively.
Kerala responded brilliantly. Skipper Sanju Samson and Rohan Kunnummal stood for a match-winning 177-run stand. Samson remained not out at 51 while Rohan was adjudged man of the match for his 121 off 60.
Out-of-favour India seamer Mohammed Shami ends up with figures of 1/39 in four overs, as Baroda get to a handy 181-run total against Bengal in Hyderabad. Bhanu Pania scored an unbeaten 53 off 27 balls to power the Baroda innings.

Months ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Urvil Patel has rewritten cricket record books again, hitting a 31-ball century in Hyderabad. At the modest Gymkhana Ground, captain Patel hit 119 not out off just 37 balls to help Gujarat chase down Services' imposing 182 with ease. His innings, laced with 12 fours and 10 sixes, also formed a stunning 174-run opening stand with Aarya Desai (60 off 35).
Patel's knock comes just a year after his 28-ball century against Tripura, also in a SMAT match, on November 27, 2024, which already had him tied for the fastest T20 hundred by an Indian.
Captain Ishan Kishan is dismissed for a 24-ball 27 and his opening partner Utkarsh Singh falls for a 16-ball 24, as Jharkhand are batting at 74 for two after eight overs in response to Delhi's measly 133-run target. Kumar Kushagra and Virat Singh are the crease currently.
Chasing Andhra's 144-run target, Assam are reeling at 64/4 after 11 overs. Opener Pradyun Saikia (36 not out off 34) is still at the crease, and alongside him is Jitumoni Kalita. PVSN Raju has picked up two wickets for Andhra.
Bengal have made light work of their 182-run chase against Baroda. Abishek Porel's 24-ball 50 and Karan Lal's 21-run 42 at the start of the innings power Bengal to a six-wicket victory, as they march to the target in 17.1 overs. Shahbaz stays unbeaten on 38 off 21 to guide them home.
In Elite Group D, Delhi begin their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign with a seven-wicket defeat to Jharkhand. Kumar Kushagra (45 not out off 31) and Anukul Roy (26 not out off 13) stay there till the end as Jharkhand chase down Delhi's 133-run target in just 14.5 overs.
In an Elite Group B encounter at the Eden Gardens, Chandigarh chase down Bihar's 158-run target in 18.4 overs to win by six wickets. Raj Bawa is named the Player of the Match his all-round show of an unbeaten 36 (off 22) and 2/25 with the ball.
At the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Andhra bowl out Assam for 114 runs in 19.4 overs to emerge victors by 29 runs. PVSN Raju finishes with figures of 3/20 in four overs, while Ricky Bhui is the Player of the Match for his 35-ball 46 and three catches.
