India signed off 2025 in emphatic style, thrashing South Africa by 30 runs in the fifth and final T20I to clinch the series 3-1, powered by explosive fifties from Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma and a decisive four-wicket burst from Varun Chakravarthy. Pandya blazed a 16-ball half-century, the second fastest by an Indian, on his way to 63 off 25, while Tilak’s fluent 73 anchored a daunting 231/5 after early fireworks from Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. South Africa’s chase stayed alive as long as Quinton de Kock’s 65 held the innings together, but once Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him, Chakravarthy ripped through the middle order as the visitors collapsed from 120/1 to 201/8, sealing a dominant finish for India.
