ENGU19 338/6 (87) trail by 202 runs
Ekansh Singh (59 not out) and Ralphie Albert (18 not out) have compiled 28 runs for the seventh wicket so far. England Under-19 still trail by 202 runs with four wickets in hand. Five sessions of play remain in this Youth Test, so for India U-19 to force a result, they need to break up this partnership soon and get the remaining wickets cheaply so as to pile the pressure on the hosts.
Meanwhile, here's a quick look at what's transpiring in the India women's white-ball tour of England. India lost a last-ball thriller to England in the fifth and final T20I, but won the series 3-2 anyway, having clinched it a game in advance. The attention now moves to the one-day internationals leg, with the first ODI in Southampton in July 16.
ENGU19 324/6 (83) trail by 216 runs
Ekansh Singh gets to a well-deserved half-century, and is the batter to watch out for as the India colts look to wrap up the English innings and gain a sizeable lead. Ralphie Albert now giving Ekansh company after the dismissal of Thomas Rew (34).
Meanwhile, India are in serious trouble at Lord's. They are seven down before 100 and a win looks increasingly unlikely now. You can follow the India vs England 3rd Test Day 5 here.
ENGU19 251/5 (71) trail by 289 runs
A good start to the day for Ekansh Singh and Thomas Rew. They have seen off 11 overs and gleaned 21 runs to England's overnight score. India would not be too disappointed though. It is a good batting track and they will have to be patient.
Henil Patel kept it tight in that over. Thomas Rew stayed watchful, offering solid defence to two consecutive deliveries, both on a good line, both ending in dot balls. No runs, no risks.
We are underway now and Henit Patel is bowling the first over of the day. Ekansh Singh on strike and Thomas Rew stands on the other end.
