India A lost Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh and captain Iyer within 5.3 overs. Hero of India's win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final, Tilak Verma then joined hands with Riyan Parag to stitch a 101-run partnership for the fourth wicket. That remained the only big stand in India A's innings.
Verma scored 94 while Parag got 58 while there were some useful contributions in the lower order as well as India A stretched their score to 246 before getting bowled out. Jack Edwards picked up a four-fer for Australia A.
Rain played hide and seek in the second innings but Australia A were on the frontfoot all along. They were given a target of 160 in 25 to win the game and Australia A chased the total down in just 16 overs.
Mackenzie Harvey slammed an unbeaten 49-ball 70 while Cooper Conolly too plundered 50 runs from only 31 deliveries.
The third and final One Day between the two teams will take place on Sunday, October 5.
