India have confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will play in their fourth Test against England at Old Trafford.

It would be Bumrah's final match of the series after it was revealed that he would only play in three of the five Tests in England.

The seamer took part in the first and third games of this series and has posted figures of 12-252 across those matches that he has featured in.

India's assistant coach, Ryan ten Doeschate, hinted towards Bumrah's selection earlier this week, but injuries may have forced the decision with the tourists 2-1 down in the series.

Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out alongside Nitish Kumar Reddy, while Akash Deep is a doubt due to a groin problem.

India have called up uncapped all-rounder Anshul Kamboj to their squad, while Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur remain as seam options if Akash is unavailable.

"So far, we only know that Jassi [Bumrah] bhai will play," Mohammed Siraj said when asked about India's pace attack as they look to level the series ahead of the final Test at the Oval."

Siraj also said he will continue to engage with England players in the fourth Test.

He was fined for an altercation with Ben Duckett at Lord's, whilst he also taunted Joe Root and Zak Crawley.

When asked if he would continue to play with the same fiery energy, Siraj immediately replied: "Yes.

"There are no plans regarding this. When you are bowling, you are in another zone. Your focus is on taking wickets, so you don’t know what you say.

"You want to divert the batter – like when I asked Root, 'Where is Bazball?'"
