Bottom-sided teams Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz go head-to-head in match number 39 of the 2026 Pakistan Super League. Follow along for the live updates, scores and more from the National Stadium in Karachi
The Pakistan Super League 2026 league stages conclude today with a double header in Karachi. Only 1 spot remains in the race to play-offs and Hyderabad Kingsmen have a fantastic chance to win the afternoon match and head over the last 4 stage.
In the evening, already qualified teams - Islamabad United and Multan Sultans will play their final league match of the season.
This is a high-stakes do-or-die clash for the Hyderabad Kingsmen on the final day of the league stage. Currently sitting on 8 points, they must defeat the already-eliminated Rawalpindiz by a significant margin to boost their net run-rate and leapfrog Lahore Qalandars for the final playoff spot.

Rawalpindiz won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Hyderabad Kingsmen: Maaz Sadaqat, Marnus Labuschagne(c), Saim Ayub, Usman Khan(w), Kusal Perera, Glenn Maxwell, Irfan Khan, Hassan Khan, Hunain Shah, Mohammad Ali, Akif Javed
Rawalpindiz: Muhammad Rizwan (C/WK), Shahzaib Khan, Usman Khawaja, Kamran Ghulam, Sam Billings, Dian Forrester, Saad Masood, Amad Butt, Asif Afridi, Ben Sears and Mohammad Amir
Blistering start from the Hyderabad Kingsmen as Maaz Sadaqat takes on the Rawalpindiz and gets his strike rate up to 300 at the moment. He has smacked 28 off 10 but his partner and skipper Marnus Labuschagne has been sent back to the pavilion for 5 off 5 by Ben Sears.
Maaz Sadaqat had to depart after a blistering 11-ball 28-run knock, thanks to Amad Butt's beautiful delivery that nicked the edge and landed safely on Mohammad Rizwan's gloves.
The run-rate is not a problem for the Hyderabadi team but the consistent loss of wickets is becoming a major problem as the Kingsmen lose half of their batters.
Usman Khan has been the standout so far with his 26-ball 54 but the likes of Saim Ayub and Irfan Khan departed cheaply for 12 and 0.
The Big Show - Glenn Maxwell is making his presence felt at the National Stadium in Karachi as he attempts to take team towards a respectable total and he has smacked 25 off already off 15.
He is being supported by Kusal Perera, whose strike rate has touched the 190-mark and is batting at 38 off 20. Massively important 6 overs coming up in this game.
Tremendous power hitting from Glenn Maxwell and Kusal Perera as Hyderabad cross the 200-run mark and are now hoping to post at least 20 runs more in the final 2 overs.
Maxwell is batting on 63 off 33 at a daunting strike rate of 190; Kusal Perera is at 49 off 28.
The Hyderabad Kingsmen have posted a mammoth total of 244/6 in their must-win clash against Rawalpindiz. It was made possible because of Glenn Maxwell's 70 off 37 and Kusal Perera's 50 off 30 towards the backend of the innings.
All to play for in the 2nd innings.
The batters have done their job exceptionally well and now the responsibility is on the bowlers' shoulders. Hyderabad must restrict Rawalpindiz within 158 or less runs to secure a spot in the play-offs.
It will be tough for them but it's not an impossible task. Teams do require such miracles to make sure they go forward in a competition.
Just the kind of start Hyderabad needed as Akif Javed gets the wicket of Shahzaib Khan in the 2nd over for just 1 run. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan is at the crease with Usman Khawaja. Remember, the Kingsmen must restrict their opponents within 158 or less.
Skipper Mohammad Rizwan had to depart for 26 off 16 in the last over of the powerplay but Rawalpindiz's innings is well on course to deny Hyderabad from entering the play-offs. Usman Khawaja has now been joined by Kamran Ghulam.
Usman Khawaja is batting really very well and it seems he doesn't want the Hyderabad Kingsmen to go through to the play-offs. Khawaja is just 6 runs away from his half-century with Rawalpindiz needing 150 runs in 59 balls.
What a splendid turnaround from Hyderabad Kingsmen. They are now just 2 wickets away from entering the play-offs in their first season at the Pakistan Super League.
Rawalpindiz need 118 off 29 and if they score 40 more runs, then it will be game over for Kingsmen.
Speechless, absolutely speechless!!! What did we just witness. Hyderabad Kingsmen are going through to the play-offs with this bumper 108-run victory. Heartbreak for the reigning champions Lahore Qalandars, who did everything they could but today's result was not in their hands.
