Steady contributions from Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy helped Bangladesh lay down a solid foundation after Pakistan chose to bowl.
Pakistan’s chase began disastrously, crumbling to 17/3 inside the first three overs as Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana dismantled the top order, including the key wicket of Mohammad Rizwan.
However, Salman Ali Agha staged a spectacular lone-warrior act, smashing 106 off 98 balls to keep the visitors in the hunt. Despite a late cameo from captain Shaheen Afridi (37), Taskin’s four-wicket haul and Mustafizur Rahman’s disciplined death bowling eventually stifled the chase.
Rishad Hossain held his nerve in the final over, stumping Afridi on the last ball to bowl Pakistan out for 279, sealing a hard-fought series win for Bangladesh.
