Rajasthan: PM Narendra Modi Says, 'I Feel Pain When Atrocities Take Place Against Daughters In India But Congress...'

Attending the Chittorgarh rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated various development projects worth around Rs 7,000 crore and said that they would make the lives of the people easier and generate employment opportunities in Rajasthan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern towards the safety of women in the country and regarding the atrocities faced by them, he said that he feels the pain of the daughters and accused Congress of making it a tradition. 

Speaking at the Chittorgarh rally, PM Modi said, "I feel pain when atrocities take place against daughters anywhere in country but Cong has made this a tradition in Rajasthan."

He also attacked the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan over the issue of corruption.

Rajasthan tops the list when it comes to crime, riots, atrocities against women, Dalits and backward classes, Modi said at a rally in Chittorgarh.

 He also assured the people that all public schemes initiated by the Congress government will continue if the BJP is elected to power in Rajasthan.

“Gehlot knows that the countdown of the Congress government has started. He in a way has congratulated the BJP by publicly requesting that the schemes should not be stopped. I assure you that BJP will not stop any scheme of public interest but will try to improve it. This is Modi's guarantee,” he said. 

The prime minister said if his party his voted to power, action against the corrupt and those involved in the alleged paper leak mafia will be taken.

Speaking about the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for the Rajasthan Assembly polls, PM Modi said, "There is only one face in elections and that is 'Kamal' (lotus); our hope and candidate is lotus."

PM Modi lays foundation for developmental projects worth Rs 7,000 crore 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the development of Rajasthan is a big priority for his government, which has focused on building modern infrastructure in the state. 

Speaking at a function in Chittorgarh after dedicating various development projects worth around Rs 7,000 crore, Modi said the various development projects dedicated today will make life of the people easier and generate employment opportunities. 

"The central government has focused a lot on developing modern infrastructure like expressways, highways and railways in Rajasthan,” he said.

Modi said Rajasthan has the heritage of the past, strength of the present and possibilities of the future, calling it 'trishakti'.

“This 'trishakti' of Rajasthan increases the strength of the country,” he said.

The projects dedicated by the prime minister include tourism facilities developed at Nathdwara (Rajsamand) under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme, modern 'tourist interpretation and cultural centre' at Nathdwara, permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kota among others. 

After the function, Modi left for a public rally organised by the BJP in the district.
