Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal alleged that a plainclothes officer entered his Mumbai accommodation, marking the third instance of police surveillance in recent days.
He accused the BJP government of “spying on opponents,” questioning if Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered the action; the BJP denied the claim, calling it politically motivated.
Sapkal also demanded a probe into the police shooting of Rohit Arya in Powai and accused Fadnavis of protecting criminals and fostering lawlessness in the state.
