Rahul Gandhi Kicks Off 'Apni Baat Rahul Ke Sath', Meets Students Over Dinner At Delhi Restaurant

An an upmarket restaurant in Delhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday surprised a bunch of students when he walked in for an informat chat with them, dubbed as "Apni baat Rahul ke saath", ostensibly inspired by Prpariime Minister Narendra Modi's "Parikhsa Pe Charcha", which was held just last week where the latter interacted with school students and their parents about examinations.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the students had been told that the interaction will be with Congress party, but weren't aware that it will be Gandhi hismelf who will act as their host for the evening and even seek their inputs for the party's manifesto.

The Congress chief's interaction, however, was not with a wide audience, but select seven students from Delhi, Assam, Maharashtra, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh, at a Chinese restaurant.

The interaction, party leaders say, is to be used as part of Congress' Lok Sabaha campaign, according to the Indian Express.
