Dense fog and smog reduced visibility across Delhi on Saturday morning, with Safdarjung recording the lowest at 200 metres as AQI rose to 384.
CPCB data showed 16 of 40 monitoring stations in the ‘severe’ category, with ITO worst at 437; the rest remained ‘very poor’.
Pollution levels are forecast to turn ‘severe’ on Sunday and Monday, prompting curbs including a ban on non-Delhi BS-VI vehicles and enforcement of the ‘No PUC, No Fuel’ rule.
