AP CM Releases Rs 330 Cr Under The 'Jagananna Chedodu' Scheme

Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins, and other eligible beneficiaries were provided financial assistance by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday released Rs 330.15 crore under Jagananna Chedodu towards financial assistance for over 3.30 lakh eligible beneficiaries from Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins, and other communities.

An official release from the CMO said the amount would be directly credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.

Releasing the amount with a click of a button here, the Chief Minister said the welfare measures implemented by the YSRCP government have been empowering every BC, SC, and ST family and helping them to improve financially.

He said the government is striving to implement the scheme without giving room for discrimination on grounds of caste, religion, community, or party affiliation and without giving scope for favouritism or corruption.

The State registered a growth rate of 11.43 per cent turning it into a model State for the country.

While the total amount disbursed to the people through DBT under various welfare schemes has so far reached Rs 1,92, 938 crores, it equals Rs. 3,00,000 crore when benefits given to people under non-DBT schemes were included, too, he explained.

The Chief Minister said 30,00,000 house site pattas were distributed to women and the support extended to the women’s self-help groups turned their societies to A grades from C and D grades enjoyed by them during the TDP rule.

Describing the TDP and other political adversaries as 'wolves,' Jagan launched a broadside against them that he would thwart their attempts to denigrate the ruling YSRCP government single-handedly like a lion with the support of the people.

Addressing a public meeting at Vinukonda in Palnadu district, the Chief Minister came down heavily on the TDP and a section of media for the alleged false propaganda against the government and “misleading” the people.
