'Changing Name Will Change Nothing': Amit Shah Attacks Congress, DMK Government In Tamil Nadu

Amit Shah's remarks come at a time when the parliament is witnessing logjam over INDIA bloc's protest demanding PM Modi's comprehensive statement over Manipur violence.

Ahead of the visit by a delegation from the opposition INDIA bloc to violence-hit Manipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a jibe at the Congress and DMK and said that neither of these parties want good for the country. He was addressing a rally in Tamil Nadu, ahead of kick-starting state BJP President K Annamalai's state-wide  'En Mann, En Makkal (My Land, My People)' padayatra.

"When Congress and its allies, including the DMK, go to the people seeking votes, the public would remember the corruption, including the 2G scam and CommonWealth Games scam during the UPA regime," he said. He further called the DMK regime the "most corrupt in the nation" and said the BJP's yatra is an attempt to usher in politics of development and good governance in Tamil Nadu.
