Trump has extended the $100,000 payment requirement for certain H-1B visa applications for another year, keeping the measure in place until September 21, 2027.
The extension comes as the policy faces ongoing legal challenges after a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled against the fee, with the Trump administration appealing the decision.
The measure is particularly significant for Indian professionals and US employers that rely on H-1B workers, although existing H-1B holders renewing their visas and certain workers changing status from student visas are excluded.
