Kim Yo Jong criticised the Pacific Vanguard 2026 naval exercise near Guam and warned that North Korea could respond if its security or interests are threatened.
The warning came a day after she rejected international calls for North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons programme, while the IAEA reported signs of possible expansion at the Yongbyon nuclear complex.
Pyongyang has repeatedly described US-led military exercises as hostile, while Washington and its allies say the drills are intended to strengthen military readiness and coordination.
