King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined Pope Leo XIV for an ecumenical service themed “care for creation,” commemorating the 2025 Papal Jubilee.
The King received a Papal knighthood and was named “Royal Confrater” of the basilica, while the Pope was honoured with the Order of the Bath.
The meeting celebrated closer ties between the Vatican and the Church of England, symbolised through exchanged gifts and tree-planting pledges.
