Starring Adam Sandler, the trailer for ‘Spaceman’ is here. The trailer shows Adam Sandler playing the role of an astronaut who is sent on a space mission. Ever since the trailer was dropped by Netflix on social media, there has been considerable buzz about the upcoming movie.

The trailer of ‘Spaceman’ opens with Jakub Prochazka who has been in the space for 189 days on a solo mission. He receives a call from the Euro Space Program that asks him about his progress and the developments he has made. As the trailer progresses, the audience comes to know that Jakub has left a rocky marriage back home. However, that is not the interesting part. The interesting part is when Jakub comes face to face with a mysterious creature on his spaceship. The audience does not know if the creature is real or if is it a figment of Jakub’s creation.

Take a look at the trailer of ‘Spaceman’ here.

Directed by the man who helmed ‘Chernobyl’, this sci-fi drama definitely has our hopes up. As the trailer moves, you can see ‘Chernobyl’ like imagery, music, and cinematography. That adds to the mystery of this drama. Jakub is struggling with his marriage on Earth and with things on the spaceship. However, he is joined by this creature that looks like a mix between an alien and an insect. The creature doesn’t look scary. Interestingly, the trailer did not clarify if the creature is real or a figment of Jakub’s imagination.

This blurry line actually also toys with the audience and helps to create a gripping story. The story feels fresh, and it does not feel like another ‘Interstellar’ or ‘The Martian’. The trailer did not give away much, but it definitely built anticipation for ‘Spaceman’.

Directed by Johan Renck, ‘Spaceman’ is based on the novel – ‘Spaceman of Bohemia.’ The film stars Adam Sandler, Carey Mulligan, Paul Dano, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini. It is set to stream on Netflix from March 1 onwards.
