The Harry Potter TV series has officially gone on the floors. On Monday, July 14, HBO took to its official Instagram handle to share the first look of actor Dominic McLaughlin in the getup of Harry Potter. The actor was seen posing with the clap board on the set.

The makers have revealed the first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter on Monday. The filming of the HBO series has also begun.

Dominic McLaughin is playing the iconic role of Harry Potter, which was earlier played by Daniel Radcliffe in the films. In the pic, he can be seen in the school uniform of Hogwarts, and wearing the round glasses. HBO, sharing the pic wrote, "First-years, step forward. The HBO Original Harry Potter series is now in production."

Arabella Stanton will portray Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout will be seen as Ron Weasley.
Lox Pratt will be seen as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Bertie Carvel as Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.
On Monday, the makers also announced new cast of the show, including Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

The Harry Potter reboot is based on JK Rowling’s books of the same name. She is also serving as an executive producer of the series. Earlier, sharing her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), Rowling wrote, "I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series and they are SO, SO, SO GOOD!"
