Harry Potter HBO Series: Here's Who Will Play Malfoys And Dursleys

HBO's Harry Potter TV series, will adapt the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, for its debut season.

Harry Potter series casts its Malfoys and Dursleys X

After revealing the three main leads of upcoming Harry Potter TV series, HBO has now announced nine new cast members for the series, which will adapt the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, for its debut season. The TV series will stream exclusively on Max in multiple countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, and Turkey.

The new faces include Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, and Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, and Bertie Carvel as Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge. Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, are also part of the cast.

They have joined the other cast announced earlier, that include John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

In May, it was announced that Dominic McLaughlin will play the role of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will portray Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout will be seen as Ron Weasley.

The original Harry Potter films featured Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, who played Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

As per a report in Deadline, Harry Potter showrunner Francesca Gardiner, had earlier said the Dursleys will be much younger in the show than they original movies.

Harry Potter series has been described as a “faithful adaptation” of the books.

It has been written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series. It is also being executive produced by the author J.K. Rowling, with Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.

Harry Potter series is produced by HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.
