36 Industrial Projects Grounded and Inaugurated in Odisha
500 Industry Leaders and 10,000 People Presented
“Odisha is moving with purpose from promise to performance, and from potential to prosperity. What we commit, we complete,” said Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, underscoring the State’s strong commitment to industrial growth and timely execution.
In a significant push to Odisha’s industrialisation journey, the Hon’ble Chief Minister today presided over a landmark Groundbreaking and Inauguration Ceremony covering 36 industrial projects, with a cumulative investment of approximately ₹40,811 crore and employment potential of over 59,050 jobs. Spanning multiple districts, these projects represent a diverse range of high-impact sectors including Green Energy Equipment, Metal & Downstream Industries, Textile & Apparel, Plastics, Tourism, Agro & Food Processing, Defence Manufacturing, IT & ITES, Automobiles, Cement, and Capital Goods, reflecting the State’s rapidly evolving and diversified industrial ecosystem.
Among the prominent companies participating in this industrial expansion are Ampin Solar One Private Limited, Calderys India Refractories Limited, Page Industries Ltd., Adani Enterprises Limited, KPR Mill Limited, Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited, ATC Tyres AP Pvt. Ltd. (Yokohama), Ambuja Concrete North Private Limited, Trimetro Garments India Pvt. Ltd. (EPIC Group Company), and Danieli Corus Refractory Solutions Pvt. Ltd., underscoring strong investor confidence from leading national and global players.
Marking a day of twin milestones, the Hon’ble Chief Minister attended two major programmes first at Bhuinpur in Khordha district, followed by the inauguration of a major textile manufacturing facility at Ramdaspur in Cuttack district.
At Bhuinpur, the programme was attended by Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Member of Parliament Smt Aparajita Sarangi, Hon’ble MLA Khordha Shri Prashant Jagdev, Hon’ble MLA Begunia & Bolagarh Shri Pradip Kumar Sahu, along with leading industry representatives and senior officials of the Government of Odisha. The Chief Minister also chaired a high-level roundtable interaction with industry leaders, focusing on strengthening execution, addressing implementation challenges, and reinforcing Odisha’s investor facilitation framework.
A total of 34 projects were grounded and inaugurated at Bhuinpur, Begunia, Khordha, while 2 key projects were undertaken at Ramdaspur, Cuttack, with the combined events witnessing participation of more than 10,000 people, reflecting strong industry and public engagement.
Addressing the gathering at Bhuinpur, the Hon’ble Chief Minister emphasized that Odisha’s industrial growth is now firmly anchored in execution, supported by a governance framework that prioritizes speed, transparency, and accountability. He highlighted that the State has successfully transitioned from an era of investment announcements to one of on-ground delivery, where projects are monitored in real time and supported through robust institutional mechanisms such as IPICOL at the State level and DIPA at the district level. He further noted that dedicated task force mechanisms are actively resolving implementation bottlenecks, ensuring that projects move seamlessly from approval to commissioning.
The Chief Minister also underlined the central role of youth in this transformation, stating that every investment is designed to create meaningful employment opportunities within the State. With sustained investments in skill development through institutions such as the World Skill Centre, ITIs, and technical institutes, Odisha is building a future-ready workforce aligned with industry needs. He reiterated that this growth trajectory contributes not only to the vision of Samruddha Odisha but also aligns with the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, positioning Odisha as a key driver in India’s manufacturing and economic expansion.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble Industries Minister Shri Sampad Chandra Swain stated that the projects grounded and inaugurated today reflect the State’s commitment to building a diversified, resilient, and future-ready industrial ecosystem. He emphasized that the Government is focused on aligning industrial growth with skill development under the “Skilled in Odisha” initiative, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to meet the demands of emerging high-value sectors.
Hon’ble MP Smt Aparajita Sarangi noted that the scale and diversity of investments reaffirm Odisha’s growing stature as a preferred destination for industries, supported by strong governance and infrastructure. Hon’ble MLA Shri Prashant Jagdev highlighted Khordha’s emergence as a major industrial hub, while Hon’ble MLA Shri Pradip Kumar Sahu emphasized that such initiatives are creating tangible opportunities for local communities and accelerating regional development.
Following the Bhuinpur programme, the Hon’ble Chief Minister proceeded to Ramdaspur Industrial Area in Cuttack, where he inaugurated the manufacturing facility of Page Industries, marking a major milestone in Odisha’s textile and apparel sector. The newly inaugurated unit, with an investment of approximately ₹750 crore, is expected to generate around 5,850 employment opportunities. In addition, the groundwork was laid for a second unit at Chhatabar in Khordha, involving an investment of around ₹258 crore with employment potential of 3,500 jobs.
Addressing the gathering at Ramdaspur, the Chief Minister highlighted that Odisha is rapidly emerging as a preferred destination for textile and apparel manufacturing, driven by a strong ecosystem encompassing skilled manpower, competitive infrastructure, and progressive policy support. He noted that the sector holds immense potential for large-scale employment generation, particularly for women and youth, and plays a critical role in fostering inclusive industrial growth in textile sector.
Hon’ble Industries Minister Shri Sampad Chandra Swain remarked that the project represents not just industrial expansion but also a significant step towards strengthening employment generation and skill development in the State. Hon’ble Minister for Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts emphasized that the presence of leading companies such as Page Industries signals a transformative phase for Odisha’s textile ecosystem, positioning the State as a competitive hub for apparel manufacturing at both national and global levels.
Senior officials of the State Government, representatives of Page Industries, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The successful execution of these large-scale industrial initiatives reflects Odisha’s accelerating momentum towards becoming a leading manufacturing destination in India. Guided by the vision of Samruddha Odisha, and contributing to the broader national agenda of Purvodaya under a double-engine government, the State continues to focus on speed, scale, and sustainability in industrial development.
