Safety AI expert Dtyle.AI teams up with Chennai's industrial computing specialist to close the gap between AI software and the hardware built to withstand the environments where it's deployed at sea, in ports, and in mission-critical places.

Two Chennai-born deep-tech companies are betting that the next wave of industrial AI won't be won on algorithms alone; it will be won on whether that AI can survive the environment it's deployed in. Today, Dtyle.Ai Nuview Private Limited ("Dtyle.Ai") and Mootek Technologies Private Limited ("Mootek") signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly engineer AI solutions that close that gap, formalised at a signing ceremony held at the IIT Madras Research Park on July 01, 2026.

Dtyle.Ai is the company behind the Maritime Autonomous Safety Monitoring System (MASMS), a Vision AI platform delivering real-time fire detection, crew monitoring, and risk intelligence for vessels, ports, and offshore infrastructure. Mootek brings over a decade of engineering experience building rugged industrial computers, embedded systems, and edge computing hardware designed to operate reliably in the harshest onboard and industrial conditions.

Together, the two companies aim to deliver something the market has largely lacked: AI software and industrial hardware engineered as one system, not stitched together after the fact. The collaboration spans joint solution engineering, feasibility studies, proof-of-concept deployments, and integrated go-to-market efforts across maritime, ports, and offshore environments where downtime and blind spots carry real safety and financial stakes.

"AI models don't fail in the lab; they fail at the edge, when the sea is rough, the power is unstable, and there's no engineer on hand to fix it," said Sasikumar Chandran, Founder & CEO of Dtyle.Ai. "That's the problem we set out to solve when we built MASMS, and it's why this partnership matters. Mootek's hardware gives us the reliability layer our Safety AI needs to operate where it's needed most on vessels and in industrial sites that can't afford downtime or blind spots. This isn't two companies bundling products. It's building the infrastructure that Indian maritime and industrial AI has been missing."

"For over a decade, we've built industrial computing systems that survive heat, vibration, salt air, and unreliable power- the conditions most technology simply isn't designed for," said Moorthy D, Founder & CEO of Mootek Technologies. "What's been missing is AI intelligent enough to make that hardware worth deploying at scale. Dtyle.Ai gives our infrastructure a purpose beyond compute; it turns rugged hardware into a safety system. That's a combination we believe the market has been waiting for."

Both companies say the collaboration reflects a broader shift in Indian deep tech: AI-first and hardware-first companies moving from parallel development to joint engineering, with maritime and industrial safety as the proving ground.
