Kings XI Punjab were one of the biggest spenders, second only to Kolkata Knight Riders at the Kolkata auction to complete their squad for the 2020 season. They bought nine players including Glenn Maxwell and Sheldon Cottrell. (More Cricket News)

They spent Rs 26.20 crore on Australia batsman Glenn Maxwell (Rs 10.75 crore), Windies pacer Sheldon Cottrell (Rs. 8.50 crore), England pacer Chris Jordan (Rs 3 crore), Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (Rs 2 crore), Indian wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh (55 lakh), Indian batsman Deepak Hooda (50 lakh), New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham (Rs 50 lakh), Indian batsman Tejinder Dhillon (Rs 20 lakh) and Indian pacer Ishan Porel (20 lakh).

Final squad: Chris Gayle, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Sarfaraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, Sheldon Cottrell, Ishan Porel, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Shami, Mujeeb ur Rahman, Arshdeep Singh, Hardus Viljoen, Murugan Ashwin, J Suchith, Harpreet Brar, Darshan Nalkande, Glenn Maxwell, James Neesham, Chris Jordan, Krishnappa Gowtham, Deepak Hooda, Tajinder Singh Dhillon, KL Rahul (captain), Nicholas Pooran, Prabhsimran Singh.
