Angry cricket fans on Thursday lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for poor scheduling as the first One-Day International match between India and South Africa at HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala was delayed due to rain.

The match was scheduled to start at 1:30 IST, but the persistent rain forced the delay in start. And after hours of wait, with no chance of a full 50-overs match, the BCCI took to Twitter to inform the cut-off time of a 20-over match.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the rain is expected to continue during the day in Dharamshala and several other parts of Himachal Pradesh. And it left fans worried, with many asking the BCCI if they ever consider the climate of the venue before scheduling.
