Hello and welcome to the Women's Premier League 2023 Player Auction. 165 women cricketers from across the world gave their names in the auction for the WPL's next season and out of them, only 30 players including nine overseas players were picked by one of the five teams of the WPL. Australian batter Annabel Sutherland along with uncapped Indian player Kashvee Gautam received the highest bid of 2 Crore. Delhi Capitals bought Sutherland whereas Gujarat Giants showed faith in Gautam. Another uncapped Indian player Vrinda Dinesh also got big cash after UP Warriorz spent 1.30 Crores on her. Many big names including Chamari Athapaththu, Amu Jones, Tammy Beaumont, and Deandra Dottin went unsold in the auction.
