Esports World Cup 2025 is here and the best teams from all around the world are in Riyadh to take home the coveted trophy and a massive prize money. Organised by the Esports World Cup Foundation, the tournament this year is bigger in both prize money and the number of games in the event.

The Esports World Cup is taking from 8 July and will go on till 24 August 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Esports World Cup 2025 Format
16 teams will participate in the event with four groups created of four teams each. The top team from a group will directly qualify for the Playoffs while the second-placed team will go to the second round of Elimination Phase.
The bottom two teams will move into the Elimination Phase from which four teams will be eliminated. The remaining four will advance to the second round of Elimination Phase where four teams that finished second in their groups will be waiting for them. Four teams from this phase will advance to the Playoffs where top team of each group will wait.
The knockout rounds will take place in best of three format. The final to determine the champion will be organised in best of five format.

The total prize purse for the event is an enormous $71.5 million. Below is the breakdown of the same.
