Julian Alvarez scored the solitary goal of the match, as Manchester City trumped Chelsea 1-0 before title celebrations began at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. City, who were already confirmed league champions after Arsenal's loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, celebrated their title win with the fans, as the likes of manager Pep Guardiola and Jack Grealish posed for pictures. The win against Chelsea also extended City’s unbeaten run to 24 games across all competitions. The supporters flooded the pitch after the final whistle, letting off canisters of blue smoke and celebrating joyously with the players. City are on the hunt for the treble, as they face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final and Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
