Baroda’s 349/5 surpassed the previous highest of 344/4 set by Zimbabwe against Gambia in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B game.

They went past the 300-run mark in just 17.2 overs with Pania scoring a scintillating 42-ball hundred.

Baroda, who were in a do-or-die must-win situation, batted first in the absence of superstar all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Openers Shashwat Rawat and Abhimanyusingh Rajput got them off to a perfect start, stitching up a 92-run stand in five overs.

Baroda also became the first Indian side to score 300 in a T20 game, where the last best belonged to Punjab who had notched up  275 runs against Andhra in the previous edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
