This gathering aims to foster unity among opposition parties and formulate a joint strategy to effectively challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, according to PTI reports.

Arvind Sawant, a prominent leader of the Shiv Sena, confirmed Thackeray's participation, highlighting the significance of the meeting in Patna. Sawant expressed optimism and referred to the attending leaders as experienced and astute individuals, capable of making significant contributions to the country.

The high-profile meeting is expected to witness the presence of influential figures such as Rahul Gandhi of the Congress party, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi's Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, NCP President Sharad Pawar, and People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti, among others. The participation of Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is also anticipated, adding to the significance of the event.

Mamata Banerjee, who arrived in Patna a day prior to the meeting, signifies the importance of the gathering as leaders converge to discuss crucial political strategies.
