An 80-year-old man from Haryana, Darshan Singh Brar was declared dead by doctors and then was reportedly revived after an ambulance carrying his purported lifeless body hit a pothole.
Brar's family claims that their elderly relative was initially deemed deceased in Patiala and was on his way to his home near Karnal for funeral rites when the ambulance encountered the pothole.
Brar's grandson, who accompanied him in the ambulance, observed movement and sensed a heartbeat. He then urged the driver to redirect the vehicle to the nearest hospital, where medical professionals confirmed Brar's vitality.
The octogenarian, identified as a heart patient, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karnal.

The doctors have described his condition as critical and said he has difficulty in breathing due to a chest infection.

Balwan Singh, one of Brar's grandsons, shared that the family had received news of Brar's demise on Thursday morning and had already made arrangements for the funeral in their hometown of Nising.
Mourning relatives and local residents had gathered, with preparations including a tent, food, and wood for the cremation.
Sing told NDTV, "My brother in Patiala informed us around 9 am on Thursday about our grandfather's death, and he was getting him to Nising (roughly 100 km away) in an ambulance for his last rites. We had informed our relatives and other local residents who knew him and they had already gathered to mourn his passing. A tent had been set up and food had also been arranged for the mourners. We had also got wood for the cremation."

During the journey, near Dhand village in Haryana's Kaithal, the ambulance struck a pothole, leading to the astonishing discovery of Brar's apparent vitality. The family is now expressing gratitude for what they consider a miracle, hoping for Brar's speedy recovery.

According to the NDTV report, Netrapal from Rawal Hospital in Karnal, where Brar is currently receiving treatment, commented on the situation, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding the events at the previous hospital.
The doctor reportedly said, "The family said he was on a ventilator in Patiala for four days but he is now breathing on his own. He is still critical and in the ICU. The breathing is laborious because he has an infection in his chest."
He noted that when Brar arrived at Rawal Hospital, he was breathing, had blood pressure, and a pulse.
