Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and State Governor Anandiben Patel, PM Modi flagged off the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express. This train not only connects the cities of Gorakhpur and Lucknow, but also facilitates seamless travel to sacred sites like Ayodhya and other key tourist destinations in the region, such as Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar.

The forthcoming blue-and-white Vande Bharat Express, with its eight coaches, including seven air-conditioned coaches and one executive chair car, represents a significant link between Gorakhpur and Lucknow. Additionally, the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will further enhance connectivity between the historic cities of Jodhpur and Ahmedabad, known for their rich cultural heritage.
