Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a series of key meetings during the UN climate summit, including a significant encounter with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The focus of their discussions encompassed India's strides in achieving climate goals, gratitude for Guterres' support during India's G20 Presidency, and the exchange of views on Global South priorities related to climate action, finance, technology, and multilateral governance reforms, as reported by PTI. 

India's initiatives in sustainable development, climate action, multilateral development bank reforms, and disaster management under the G20 Presidency garnered appreciation from Guterres. Notably, the UN Secretary-General welcomed Prime Minister Modi's Green Credit Initiative. The commitment to further collaboration was affirmed, with plans to build on India's achievements during its Presidency at the upcoming UN Summit of the Future in 2024.
