Following the arrest of 106 activists and leaders in a nationwide operation led by National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday, the PFI had announced a statewide 'hartal' in Kerala on Friday. At some places, PFI activists also tried to forcefully shut shops.

Activists of the Popular Front of India (PFI) on Friday pelted stones at vehicles and injured commuters in Kerala.
