Naxal Surrenders In Jharkhand

A Naxal belonging to the banned Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) outfit surrendered before the police in Palamu district on Tuesday.        

Anil Bhuiyan alias Prakash ji alias Jai Prakash ji alias Omprakash, a self-styled sub-zonal commander of the outfit, laid down his country-made pistol and two cartridges before Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha and CRPF commandants.        

Bhuiyan, a resident of Dokra village in Chainpur area, was wanted in three criminal cases. He was involved in extortion, firing on a police team and torching vehicles besides possessing firearms illegal, the SP said, adding he had joined the outfit six years ago.
