The accused of the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Mumbai were arrested. Reportedly she was raped by her male friend and her father earlier this year.
According to the reports, a Tilak Nagar police station official told the media that the teen girl who lives in Chembur was friends with a 32-year-old man who raped her in the last week of February. The man lived in the same locality as her. The girl was later sexually assaulted by her own father at their home, reportedly.
The police informed the media that the girl was very traumatised and couldn't talk about it or report it to the police.

Recently the minor observed stomach ache and was taken to the hospital for a check by her mother. The mother-daughter duo was shocked to know that she was pregnant. The officials at the civic-run Rajawasi Hospital counselled the victim when she revealed the rape and assault incidents.
The hospital alerted the Tilak Nagar police about the sexual assault following which a case was registered against the two under the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused were arrested on Thursday and a local court remanded them in police custody, the official added.
